New Google ad service

Yesterday google launched another way of making money from a webpage. They call it Google Search or something like that. I noticed it while I was looking at reports for adsense then later they sent out an announcement email.

What it is is you put some code on your site that generates a google search box. Then if someone searches in the box, they get taken to a page on googles site that has their search results and it also has a bunch of ads on it. In fact, the ads that are on the page are much like many other search engine ads where they just put them at the top of the results and sort of disguise them as paid ads by putting a box around them. It almost makes them look like their the best results for the search and you should go to one of them.

It looks like a cool feature, plus it’s super easy to implement…typical google style.
