Austin and “Todd does”

Austin has this thing where he likes to do what other people do, and then he says “So and So does” after he does it. Normally he does these things out of the blue and we have to pay attention to what he’s doing to see really where and why he picked it up.

For example, one day he just started making spitting sounds and then he said “Todd does.” I didn’t know what he was doing until he finally said “beat box, Todd does” and he proceeded to make his beat box noises like Todd does.

Todd often throws food up in the air and catches it in his mouth so Austin pretends to throw the food up and very quickly puts it in his mouth and says “Todd does”.

Steve on Blues Clues has an episode where he dances by kicking one of his feet and pointing his thumb like he’s hitch hiking. Austin loves to do this “dance” and say “Steve does.”
