Google finally indexing WritingUp.com
Number of pages indexed (as of this writing it’s 13,200).
It even got a pr3.
Funny how far behind they have been with this. I mean, the number of incoming links according to MSN right now is over 12,000. That’s been a pretty steady growth over the past 4 months. Nothing un-natural done. I didn’t do any link building campaign or anything.
So, why is it that google is still showing zero incoming links?
Who knows. But I bet if you ask them, they’ll respond…lol…

Sorry I’ve been out of touch. I am checking in on WritingUp whenever I can just to make sure there are no splogs or any blatant spam or plagiarism.
When you get a chance, can you post on WritingUp about the importance of people reading blogs other than the ones on WritingUp? I’ve been encouraging people to use Technorati’s search feature to find like-minded blogs, and they laugh at me. And they’re kinda right to do so, because I haven’t gotten my goal yet, which is to crack Arts & Letters Daily’s blogroll. At the same time, I’m reading several rather popular blogs outside of WritingUp and commenting intelligently and just-frequently-enough there, so that way I might be able to get friends and fairly dedicated readers.
The strategy isn’t the best - I’ve done this before, and learned the hard way that most bloggers are out for themselves. In the end, I end up reading a ton of blogs and getting ignored. I hope it will be different this time.
Any way, take it easy, and thanks for all your help and concern. I should say that the high attrition rate on WritingUp is irritating. I really want more people to stick it out, but they’re not doing so.
i dont know much about this site but yes i do love to write and read stuff written about life’s own reflection.
So, why is it that writingup is still not working?
Who knows. But I bet if I ask you, you’ll respond…lol…
I am also worried about “writingup”. But I could not get any answer of this question why it is down. I was blogging there and my starting career was from “writingup” and my blog was even ranked page4. It was a good platform to learn and read a lot.
