I had a huge circular scratch area on my T-mobile wing. The Wing has windows mobile 6 which comes with a couple different methods for converting your handwriting on the screen to text. The method I use is one where you write in this one little same area of the screen. I must have had some sand or grit on my stylus, and after constantly writing in this one small spot, it got chewed up terrible. The stylus would stick and it became useless. I figured I would just replace the screen and had nothing to lose, so I tried my wife's Seacret nail polisher. If you are unfamiliar with this gadget, it is a rectangular block with 3 different roughnesses. You polish your nails by using the roughest side, smoother, than smoothest. When you do the smoothest side your nails look like they have high gloss nail polish on them. Well, I did the same routine to PDA and it was amazing. I used the roughest first until the screen felt smooth, but was pretty hazy, then the smoother side, and when I buffed with the really smooth side it came out real good. The stylus glides on the glass like new. P.S. Don't try this on plastic lens glasses. Also had a pair scratched enough where I had nothing to lose. It took out the scratches, but I could not buff to an optical worthy finish. Oh, by the way. Those Seacret nail polishers are real expensive unless you get them on Ebay. Found someone selling them for about 10 bucks including shipping.

I cannot remove a scratch on my Blackberry Curve 8310. It just appeared there one day and I don't know how! I had a previous one for months and not one scratch.. I've had a refurbished one for 2 weeks and I have a gigantic scratch. Does anyone have a good suggestion to remove it? It's driving me nuts.

Tothpaste did not work for mine and I think it now looks like it "ate" the part where the toothpaste was, as in, there is a definite "circle" where I worked the scratches and possibly added minor new ones, seriously! Not crazy about that, so stopped. Re: Brasso, We used to use Brasso in the Marine Corps on brass doorknobs and kickplates so I definitely would not suggest that for the screens. The Brasso is great for brass, but after this toothpaste incident, I would just go ahead and order the Applesause for $19. I saw they have kits available, also, depending on the level of scratches.
Good luck everybody. (The one good thing for me is the scratches are not so evident when using it, it is when it is off that they are most apparent.)

Hello,
I also have an almost brand new BB with a few scratches here and there on the screen. I am going to try the toothpaste. If that doesn't work, I will have to try the Applesauce Polish. I have already ordered the Otterbox from Verizon so I want to get these scratches off before I put it in the 3 layer otterbox. The otterboxes are comparable in price to a good carrier for the 8830 and will protect it almost completely.
Thanks for this information,
Jill

I just got a backberry pearl and it to already has some scratches on the screen. I tried toothpaste and it didn't seem to work. The applsauce seemes like a good idea but is the applesauce polish just regular old applesauce or is it something different? Please get back to me! I can't stand having scratches on my brnad-new blackberry!

Thanks
