How and Why You Should Replace Yourself And Work The 17-Hour Workweek
outsourcing is dead wrong!
And how I redefined outsourcing
to make myself $2253/hour.
is preventing you from making $100,000++ online
In the next 30 minutes I’m going to help you redefine outsourcing so you can replace yourself like I did.
I will show you how to structure your business so other people run it for you and you make all this cash.
For the first time in history, I’m going to tell you exactly how you can do this, and for dirt cheap with this revolutionary, ingenious outsourcing method.
While I don’t truly live the 4-Hour Workweek, I do live about the 17 hour workweek.
How?
I’ve replaced myself.
Overseas.

If you haven’t done it yet, it will happen eventually. It’s only a matter of time and choice and which side you’re on*.
- Time: you understand this
- Choice: whether you chose to replace yourself, or whether someone else chooses to replace you (meaning…you just lost your job)
- Which side you’re on: if you’re the one replacing yourself and training your replacement (because you make money from it) or if your boss is replacing you, and you’re training them to make money for someone else.

Outsourcing isn’t about Walmart anymore. It’s about knowledge. It’s about being a knowledge worker. It’s about the world economy and what your time is worth.
It’s not all about big business like you always hear. For me it’s about how I can take advantage of inefficiencies in the world economy to make myself money.
It’s about how I make $2253 per hour by having other people do my work for me.
It’s about how most people invest in the stock market, hoping to make 8% per year (this year they all lost money).
Over the past few years I’ve invested my money in 6 Filipino workers and made 4047% return on my money.
If outsourcing isn’t a good thing for you (if the word has a negative connotation for you), you had better turn it into a good thing really quickly (especially if you’re working for yourself or trying to work for yourself) and get on the right side of it (the one doing the outsourcing). Otherwise you’re losing ground every day.
Over the past year I’ve had so many questions about this that I’ve decided to do a phone call teaching everything I know about how to be on the good side of outsourcing, and how and why you should replace yourself (Hint: It’s how I live the 4-hour workweek lifestyle…and how you can too).
I recorded the call and it’s available at ReplaceMyself.com
Get Flash to see this player.
On the call I will literally teach you everything I can. I’ll be teaching:
- Where to hire people.
- When to hire people.
- Why it’s cheaper than you think.
- Why you had such a bad experience outsourcing last time you tried.
- How to find people to hire.
- How to pay them (you never thought you’d have a hard time paying someone…).
- What kinds of employment contracts I use.
- How to make them more productive for you.
- What tools I use to train them.
- What things I have them do for me.
- How you can get things done that you know you should be doing, but you aren’t. (imagine actually having everything done and not having something to work on sometimes…I do).
- How to implement everything you learn about, but don’t implement
The call will be FREE to everyone.
This isn’t a get rich quick scheme!!!
This is my method for outsourcing everything I possibly can, for pennies on the dollar, and at the same time automating my entire business (and life for that matter), so I can live the lifestyle of my dreams.
Get Flash to see this player.
There are 2 ways to outsource:
- The old way
- The new way
The old way is using elance.com, odesk.com, getafreelancer.com, scriptlance.com, rentacoder.com, or any other website where you put up a project one time and hire someone to do it. This is what prevents online businesses from growing to 6 or 7 figure incomes.
The new way is with redefined outsourcing and how I replaced myself with permanent, full-time people, for less than $300/month.
This call is for you if:
- you ever do anything repetitive at work
- you do any sort of business online (whether you’re profitable or not)
- you blog
- you do marketing
- you do SEO or PPC
- you’re a programmer
- you do sales
- you have a boss
- you get the idea…
(*I understand that not everything or everyone can or should be outsourced, but those situations are few and far between!)

Sounds like an interesting call. It would be great if you could make it available on the website as a download for people outside the US.
Glad you’re back and I hope you had a great time! I’ll DEFINITELY be on the call. I’m getting ready to start a couple sites that may have huge traffic very quickly. There’s no doubt that I’m gonna need help!
Thanks for offering this, and I’ll ’see you there’.
Olaina
John:
I won’t be able to attend the call but I am interested in the info. Any chance you’ll record it and offer it as a download – even if for a limited time?
Travis
Hi John,
I’ve got 10 unfinished web sites….
I’m also out of the country but I’ll be on the call….
Yea, I get the idea!
I’m looking forward to it. Thanks John! (I’m also hoping its available as MP3 download afterwords so I can listen again and again).
I’ll try to make it available here as an mp3, but I’ve had the recording software mess up before, so if you can, be on the call.
I’ll definitely try to record it.
If you have unfinished websites, or websites you’re in the middle of but can’t seem to get everything done you need to, what I’m going to talk about is something you should seriously consider implementing. I used to have this problem all the time where I’d start a website, get bored of it, and never finish it/never make money from it. Now, I start something, and then I pass it off to my replacement with specific instructions and he finishes it for me. SWEET!
John
We’ve tried outsourcing. Glad to hear some advice.
Hey John I have a question that maybe you can address on the call.
Out sourcing website development.
Marketing a website is fun. Creating one is a pain in the #^*&*&)
John…. I have used some folks in India before. I had language issues. They are really motivated and work well under instructions.
John,
I had very bad experiences of outsourcing overseas. I hired someone who worked for me with dedicated writer and link builders, but their performances are very low. They worked around clock, not focus on how I can finish these tasks on daily basis.
Hope to hear your successful advices about hiring and more…
Joe
Hey John,
How do you get your outsource rs to do what you want, as you want it done. I have found I can get good work done, but I’m literally having to hold their hand on skype to get them to understand the detail of my requirements.
Have you had this experience? Do you have a solution for this.
I only caught the end of this. I’d love to hear the full session if you recorded it. Thanks for doing this.
Hi John,
i missed the call but would also love to listen to a recording!
Did the recording work?
Thanks,
Norman
I also could not make the call and would love to get the recording.
Yeah…I tried to make it dayum J.O.B had a meeting at the same time. Hopefully this was recorded (crossing fingers lol)
what is the website?
Wow, interesting concept. I am putting in about 12 hours a day right now.
Update: The call was recorded, but it was a crappy recording.
I’ve gotten such a positive response from the call that I’ve decided to do another call. I’ll post an update for the time of the next call in the next few days.
John
Dang event reminder didn’t work. When’s the next call?
If you haven’t taken this advice already you should seriously look into what John is talking about. I personally can and do live the 4 hour (or less) work week, although I generally choose to spend at least a few hours a day online learning and planning for future ideas. It’s simply the greatest thing one could ask for!
Hi John,
Outsourcing is making a big difference in my business. It has allowed me to duplicate my efforts. Using my outsource resources, I can now complete several projects in the time it takes for me alone to do just one! I sometimes get distracted by the “bright, shiny objects” and leave projects unfinished. Not a problem anymore!
One of my friends, (a contractor at Google), owns an outsourcing company and call center in the country that you mentioned. We spent a lot of time going over the details and requirements for my upcoming projects. The price that he quoted me is between $400 and $500 per month, per full-time (5 days, 40hrs/week), employee – and these are not entry-level employees either. Their technical, as well as English writing and speaking skills are excellent, and they have experience in the industry! Earlier this year, we had an outsourcing company in India that we have been using since February. Because of our inexperience in outsourcing, we ended up paying close to $60,000 for 4-months of programming (yikes!)
Here’s the best part though – my long time client/JV partner is footing the bill for up to 10 employees! No money out of my pocket!
I’ll let you know how everything works out.
Best Regards,
Ollan Agtual
p.s. Thanks for making me famous!
I had been organizing a business plan before taking advantage of the trial offer – only the sign up page AND the trial offer URLs lead to 404 pages now. Guess that WAS quite a positive response.

Yep, this outsourcing strategy is the best thing. I have a great article writer who delivers 15 articles every month and on the 1st of the month, I set this up in my Wordpress Blog to spit out every other day. The following month I repeat the process. In between, I may write a few articles. I pay $4 an article which is $60 per month plus hosting fees. I have also now got a Blog creator in India. A smart guy who knows his stuff. He uses a free wordpress theme and charges me $30.00 per blog which is all set up and ready for the content. All I do is the promotion work.
Great stuff-this outsourcing lark!!
@Owen
Now for the automation part. Hire someone in the philippines to manage the whole process. Have your writer deliver the content to him. Have him put them into wordpress and have him learn how to set up wordpress (super simple). Then teach him how to do the promotion work. All of a sudden, you’ve duplicated yourself!
John
@John
Is it possible to do an email reminder for these calls? I’ve missed both now.
Hey John…i was wondering was that second call ever archived?

John,
Thanks for mp3. Great info. I just checked on the exchange rate for the filipino peso. It was saying that the rate was a lot hire than what your mp3 is saying. For example 15,000 pesos was $373. Looking at the filipino job sites, they are asking more in the 18,000 to 25,000 range. That’s getting to be quite higher than the $250. Any suggestions?

@MarkM
R U kidding?
Even $1000/m for a FULL-TIME employee is $2000 LESS than you’re gonna find in the West….get a grip man, $500/m is a STEAAAAAAAL!
i hired a male at 8000 for grunt work. now in the 4th week he is looking for a pay raise citing that his bills have gone up. how should i handle this situation in a positive mannor?
i wish i could chat with others who have hired so i can compare management notes.
@MarkM – I just hired someone for 5000PHP/month. That’s a lot less than $250. There are tons of people out there.
@joe – I hear you on that. For starters, this page is a good place to start. I’ll look into having a forum for it.
what is the average salary of dentists and call center workers in and around manila,ph? having info like that can help keep pay raises in check.
Hey John,
I’ve been sending out a lot of emails looking for a few different people and the thing you say about the difficult first task is so true.
I make the task a pain in the butt for some of the writers – which included writing. A woman sent me an email applying for the job, I gave her a difficult first task, told her pay was monthly after she had worked and generally followed your instructions.
Well I tell you what, this lady was not too happy with me – she sent me a nasty little note basically saying how I was ridiculous for asking her these things and criticized me for various things I wrote in the email.
This really makes you realize how important it is to have a difficult first task. This is not someone I want to work for me. Not saying she’s a bad writer – but she’s got some attitude.
You want people who WANT to work for you. Who put value in your job and appreciate it and are willing to work hard.
I find it amazing how people “really” want the job at first and then you tell them to go build a site or go write a 1000 word article for you then you never hear form them.
Good times!
Hi John,
I can’t remember how I stumbled across your site but I’m glad I did.
I remember reading FHWW earlier this year and love the concept of lifestyle design. I’m one of those people that create (in my head) opportunities out of anything but I don’t have the time or the motivation/momentum to keep it going!
Recently I was thinking about how I can just do what Richard Branson does – screw it let’s do it – with any new idea or passion that he wants to get involved in.
Your mp3 was truly great – lots of great information for free and of fantastic value. Thanks so much and I really appreciate it.
Now I have to implement it. I will. Knowing the advantages of this region over India is really helpful. I’ll keep you posted.
Best regards
Desiree
Hi Jonas
Can newbies do this?
Most would not know what to ask an outsourcer to do.
Do they have 3 instant Business in a Box (bonuses)to begin immediately?
Also I have some sites that need rewriting and uploading.
Would they do a rewrite of 260 articles?
Thanks
holy smokes! my guy is asking for the 13month. i have learned one the web that 13month is paid before the 24th dec and if the employee worked at least one month that year. is this correct?
moreover, he mentioned bonuses. i did not work out a bonus guideline with my employee. i guess i should!
I need to thank everyone for listening to the recording I did.
The response has been nothing short of amazing.
I got everything I wanted out of it. People are hiring Filipino employees, they’re working less, making more money, and just generally living better lives.
Thanks for listening and for letting me know your success stories.
John
John is there still a TRIAL of the replacemyself site? It seems gone again.
I really want to do this but I see that this information is now about 8 months old… I want to make sure before I buy it that it is relavant and current information for me.
I don’t know if hiring someone full time is right for my situation… I’m only looking to push off some design/layout and administrative duties for a single website. I’m really only looking for a contract person for about 5/10 hrs per week (maybe pay $100/150 max per month). I know I’m expecting a lot but that is all I can afford.
Also, I really need to invest wisely… cannot afford to pay the $97 for John’s materials if they don’t fit my situation.
Any input as to if this is worth the money for me would be great. Thank you!
@Michelle,
Yes, the material is 10 months old, but it will never change and never go out of date.
This isn’t one of those things that is a fad. This is permanent.
You can EASILY find someone to do 10 hours of work per week for $100/month. You could easily find someone to do twice that for $100/month.
How about that trial option as mentioned two posts above?
Is a trial still available, John?
Thanks,
About the TRIAL.
No, it’s not available anymore.
Here’s why: I did that call in August of 2008.
Between then and now over 6500 people have listened to it.
When that many people listen to something, it would make sense that it could (it did) affect my ability to hire good talent from the website I recommend.
Because of that, I stopped giving away the free trial and stopped giving away the second half of the audio. Too many people were actually USING the information.
Sorry to disappoint.
As is, I still think it’s underpriced. Especially based off the feedback I get from people telling me how it changed their life and how they want me to raise the price so still fewer people get it.
John
John,
I listened to the first half of the ReplaceMyself audio. Before I paid the $97, I found a link to your conversation with Adam Short about his system. they both resonate with me and I am about 99% sure that I am going to do both. Which should I buy (or sign up for) first ReplaceMyself or NPC?
Thanks for your time.
Ah forget it. I will just get both.
@Corey – Sorry I didn’t respond earlier.
You should listen to the audios on ReplaceMyself.com first (so, I guess get that first). That won’t take you more than a few hours because the stuff (besides the first bit of training) inside ReplaceMyself.com isn’t designed for you, it’s designed for your guy in the Philippines.
Then, buy NPC and start going through the videos (using Myspeed to speed up online video).
Then hire someone in the philippines to start implementing the stuff inside NPC (give them access to your NPC account).
It’s pretty easy/straight forward.
John
John,
Terrific material. Please respond to my email, sent earlier today, regarding orders. Congratulations and thanks for putting it out there!

Do we learn exactly where to phone, write, telephone etc. in the Philipines when we join the membership? Or is it just a vague, find someone in the Philipines kind of thing?
tunukwa88@aol.com
Great stuff!
Haven’t quite gone as far as hiring someone in the
Philipines or elsewhere…but I’m having great success
with using low cost services for a variety of tasks. It may cost a little more, but it’s worth it to me. It’s like
getting a manager who makes sure the work gets done right and that you’re happy with it when it’s done.
I do video marketing for local businesses and I definitely need to outsource some of the tasks. Thanks for putting this together for us.

Hi John,
I was just curious. How many sites can your single team research, build, optimize, and maintain Monthly?
I guess the question is about break even or profitability of your team.
I mean, if you are paying each of your guys say $300.00/month and you have 5 people on your team you have a cost each month of 1500.00 per month. And if your sites are only making say $300.00 per month on each site. That means that you will have to have 5 sites at the $300.00 level to break even.
Or to put it a different way, you better have at least 5 sites making 300.00 every month to break even before you hire outsources unless you have money to burn/invest in the business.
Blessings in truth,
Dave
John,
I am interested in what you have to say but it seems this site and material may be getting dated. You haven’t even responded to Dave’s Q above during the past month. Is there anywhere I can tap into a group that has made such a system work?
thx, Robcarl
@David – this is a great observation.
I’ll tell you a little about my business so you can understand a bit about how I work.
I don’t know how many sites I have…maybe 50, maybe 100?
I have a site that makes me over $15,000/month that my team built.
I have a couple sites that make between $1000-$5000/month that my team built.
I have lots of sites that make between $100-$1000/month that my team built.
I have even more sites that make me between $1-$100/month that my team built.
Most of my sites that my team built don’t make me anything! $0.
Some of those $0 sites are new…at some point they’ll make me money.
Some of them I’ve given up on because the model failed. I lost money on those.
For me, I just know that the more sites I build, the better chance I have of finding winners.
I also know that some of them that I build are going to do really well. Every once in a while I’ll get an awesome one.
My team (of 3-5…depending on how you look at it) builds and maintains all these sites.
Once a site is built and established, it requires less and less maintenance.
The thing about all this is that I DIDN’T DO THE WORK!
If it were up to me to do the work, none of these sites would have been built or marketed.
Because other people are doing it, it got done, and I make money because of it.
To me, that’s the key to all this. For years I tried to do all the work myself. With that I think I had built 10 sites in a few years and only 1 of them was really successful.
With other people doing the work I’ve built hundreds of sites and lots of them are successful.
Frankly, I’m capable of doing better work than my GUYS do.
However, I DON’T DO THE WORK even though I’m capable. I don’t know…it’s just some problem I have. If it’s up to me to do the work, it’s just not going to get done.
For this reason I created my outsourcing system. So others can benefit from what I’ve done.
John
@Robcarl – the info about outsourcing won’t be “dated” for a long time. Plus, I update it whenever I feel it’s needed. (I just updated it a few days ago).
Right now, there isn’t a gathering place for “successful outsourcers”
John
Dear John,
I’d like to address the post made by Robcarl and I also have a couple of questions please.
“Dated” is relative, things are changing so fast it’s easy for just about anything to become “dated”. What’s important is relevance. Is the information being offered relevant to you in some way? There is information everywhere written by people long gone that’s still relevant today.
From what I’m learning so far, outsourcing and the opportunities it presents has not even begun to hit its stride. Few people even know it exists, not to mention the lack of mainstream attention it has. When it does, I think it will be the death knell of the American office worker, who all things considered, should already be looking for alternatives that create personal enterprises they can ultimately outsource for themselves. But that’s another topic for another day. : )
That being said…
I have a couple of question for you John. I know you talk about paying less to your guys versus the cost of contracting with companies like e-lance, or brickwork; and I appreciate your thinking. I tend to think that way too, if they can do it, I’ll bet I can do it better and for less money. You’ve found a way to do something better and cheaper and you’re attempting to help others do the same. I respect that. The thing is Timothy Feriss makes a good point in his book “The Four Hour Workweek”, (Which I read after your recommendation, Thank you!), about the extra cost of dealing with company vs. working with an individual being worth it. He points out the pitfalls to having “one guy” you’re dependent upon. If you contract with a company, you’re not completely dependent on just one person to get the job done should he “go down” or do a bad job. If (when) that happens where does that leave you? He’s sees the “one guy” approach as more of a headache then it’s worth.
You always talk about your team in such glowing terms which is wonderful, but I’d like to know about how you began; about your time line and how long it took you to build your dream team. I know achieving that doesn’t happen overnight which is why I’m interested to know about your personal experiences. Please focus on how it was when you first started, as I imagine many of your campaigns are at a completely different point currently, and perhaps don’t require the work and attention they once did. I have seen you write about problems lasting for a short time, but what have your experiences been overall, and how did you solve the problems that occurred?
Also, what method did you use and what are you currently doing to decide on which topics/products you will create content, and/or what markets you’ll pursue? How does your approach differ now with the changes taking place on the web? There is a lot of conflicting information available, and coupled with how things are quickly changing it’s very hard to decide which method is best. What’s your perspective on this? It seems SEO is changing and somewhat dependent upon the whims of Google, as I’m sure you’re well aware! It feels like SEO, etc., is in a state of flux and I’m anxious to hear what you think.
I deeply appreciate your taking the time to read this. Any information you can share with me is most sincerely appreciated!
How’s your precious family, and how’s that golf game going? I saw you post on twitter about playing in the snow! I hope you did the same with the kids!!!!! : )
Thank you so much and I look forward to hearing from you!
Very Sincerely,
“P”
Hi John,
I just discovered this site a couple of days ago but have really been enjoying since then. You’ve got some great info here; thanks! I would be very interested in your responses to the excellent questions “P” has asked above… Again, thanks for the advice and encouragement you are offering; I’m now determined to learn more about outsourcing.
Sincerely,
Janice
Hi John,
I understand your thinking abt outsourcing & will definitely look into it when I feel the time is right, which could be pretty soon. I have a question since you mentioned the guys in the Philipines like working for Americans. I’m an Asian living fairly close to the Philipines.
How do the Philipines guys look at working for non American bosses? If you know of someone in a similar situation, it would be good to hear from you. Thanks
JW
This is outsourcing on steroids, and I like to have employees working their butt of for me – it’s like finally I’m the CEO of the business. Yes, I agree with this 100%.
Hi John,
I have a few questions regarding about using your outsourcing service.
First I want to hire a Filipino who can
1st. Study the nanoblogging system and build wordpress blogs using the thesis theme, create good header graphic design and logo and writes articles, creates videos and do social booking using social bot.
2nd, I need him/her to reply forum posts, at least reply 20 forum posts a day and provide tips and value to the forum community.
3rd, I need him/her to create and opt in page onto my blog and write a presell sales letter.
4th, I need him/her to write a 30 page ebook and 15 page free report and creates ebook covers and convert it to pdf format.
5th, I need him/her to write 10 conversational autoresponder emails to build relationship with my subscribers by giving tips and tricks.
6th, submit daily report to me the things he/she has done for me and I will review it.
And this option (Access to our Pre-Screened Employee list (we’ve found them, you hire them) (finders fee required)
Qns: How much is the finders fee? Is the salary included in the finders fee?
If you personally highly recommend me a Filipino who can do all the above stuff I have mentioned, how much does it cost?
In order to find a filipino employee with this skills and expertise to work for me, I need to have someone whom is highly recommended by you.
Pls reply me at aimtogetrich@gmail.com as soon as you can. Urgent.
