Website Promotion Plan For Your Outsourcers

Following is an email I got from one of my GUYS detailing the promotion methods we use for different types of websites. You can use this for your GUYS.

This is also very instructive for you in terms of what you should be doing for your websites. What my guys do is awesome.

I added the parts in CAPITALS.

Sites Handled by [NAME]:
[THESE ARE SITES USING METHODS LIKE THE MINI-SITE FORMULA OR PNE OR OTHER SIMILAR METHODS. THESE ARE NOT SITES WE SPEND A LOT OF TIME ON. THEY ARE OFTEN EXPERIMENTAL OR SMALL/AUTOMATED SITES.
THESE SITES GET BUILT ONCE, PROMOTED ONCE, AND MAYBE UPDATED/PROMOTED EVERY 6 MONTHS AFTER THAT. I DON'T EXPECT ANY OF THESE SITES TO MAKE ME A LOT OF MONEY.]

Method of promotion:

Directory Submission
Submission to ezinearticles

Sites handles by [NAME]:

[THESE ARE SITES THAT I EXPECT TO DO REASONABLY WELL ($500-$3000/MONTH). SOME OF THESE ARE USING THE NPC METHOD. THEY ARE SITES WE SPEND MORE TIME ON, BUT THEY HAVEN'T GOTTEN TO THE HUGE STAGE YET (SOME OF THESE WILL MOVE UP TO THE LAST CATEGORY OF SITES).
THESE SITES GET PROMOTED EVERY MONTH, MAYBE MORE OFTEN THAN THAT.]

Method of promotion:

site: www.xxxxxxxxxxx.com (this one is the best of this type of site that we have)
Directory Submission
Article Submission
Bookmarking
Yahoo Answers
Mininet
Blog Comment
Forum

other sites:
Submission to Ezinearticles
Little bit of Yahoo Answers and Forum posting

Sites handle by [NAME]:

[THESE ARE OUR BIG SITES. THEY ARE SITES THAT WE EXPECT TO CONTRIBUTE OVER $5K/MONTH TO THE BUSINESS. SOME OF THESE ARE USING THE NPC METHOD. OTHERS ARE LARGE AFFILIATE SITES. THEY'RE STILL COMPLETELY AUTOMATED (from my point of view) BUT WE GIVE THEM MORE ATTENTION THAN ANY OF THE OTHERS.
THESE GET PROMOTED AT LEAST WEEKLY.]

Method of Promotion:
Directory Submission (done)
Article Submission
Mininet
Forum
Bookmarking (occasionally)
One-way link from blogs: Content spooling, 1waylinks, free traffic system
A little bit of Blog comment and yahoo answers.

Here are my thoughts. (THIS PART STILL WRITTEN BY MY GUY)

For me, the best method in building backlinks are article marketing and blogs. Search engines love content. Articles and blogs are often updated and SE’s love them. It also looks very natural in the eyes of the SE’s.

For direct traffic, yahoo answers and video marketing are the best strategy.

Forum posting (with signature link) and blog comment can deliver both backlink and traffic as long as it is posted on relevant sites. But the problem is, there are only few forum sites related to the topics. And for blog comments, most of the blogs are moderated so woudl it take time for your comment to be posted. Most blogs now have nofollow attributes on comments and Google does not follow them anymore (as posted to their webmaster support website). But other search engines may handle this attribute differently.

In the case of [NAME], as she handles so many websites, I think Free traffic System can really help her. I am still looking on how this system works. But I think this can make linkbuilding easy and effective. For me, directory submission is good if the website is new. But if it is already indexed by SE, it is not that important exept if the directory is an authority site such as Dmoz and Yahoo Dir.

This is what I’ve been doing:

New site:
Directory Submission
Bookmarking
Yahoo answers
Blog Comment

If the site is indexed:
Article Submission
One-way links from blogs
(this will help the website increase its ranking the natural way)

If there is a sudden drop on the rankings or as the site gets more established:
Forum Posting to dofollow forum sites
One-way links from blogs.
(this can give instant backlink to the site because it does not need approval and review)

For maintenance:
Combination of all these methods
Video marketing for traffic

Not bad as a website marketing plan that we came up with over time. Here are some of my thoughts for your benefit (I sent this to him):

  • I want to use 3waylinks.net in addition to 1waylinks.net on all the sites. Both can be used just once on the experimental sites, but should be used regularly on our good sites. Both are very good.
  • I haven’t used the free traffic system, so I don’t know how effective it is. My GUY seems to think it’s good so I told him to buy it.
  • I think we should be doing video submissions for all sites. Experimental sites can have just 1 video submitted. Better sites should have it done regularly.
  • I wouldn’t worry too much about the nofollow attribute thing
on blogs. I don’t think google discounts it as much as they say they
do. I think it’s still valid to post comments on those sites.
  • We use Unique Article Wizard for article marketing.
  • We use Traffic Geyser for video marketing

If you (the reader) have other systems you use to promote your sites, please post in the comments.

Training for YOUR GUYS for all the methods mentioned above are available as a member of ReplaceMyself.com. The training is designed to teach YOUR GUYS how to do what MY GUYS are doing for me.

digg this!

Great resource thanks. It’s really a lot of work and almost impossible to do without help.

I’m doing a lot of article submissions, also with UAW, and more and video submissions that seem to work well too.

Agree with Gunter, it is a lot of work and almost impossible if you have more than one website and you have not outsourced.

I do almost all of these, would like to add linkvana and Article Marketing Automation to the mix.

For people om a budget I suggest Isnare (Although they are taking HORRIBLY long with my latest submissions).

I also buy side wide links on Digital Point.

Otherwise I am not aware of any “secret” in terms of link building other than plain hard work (which must be outsourced)

Brute Force SEO Review @ 1:45 pm

Hello John and Friends,
Lisa Schwartz here. Wanted to drop you a note and let you know that I really like your latest post. Yes, as I mentioned last time at http://www.jonasblog.com/?s=lisa+schwartz I do believe in a system and have built my very own manufacturing line of team members who have developed the system structure your VA articulates above.

So, what’s new? I’ve now added a full time content writer and am slowing trickling in the methods described at http://www.jonasblog.com/2009/01/an-automated-online-business-model.html. Made $37.50 on one report. Not bad, it’s a small start for the first site :). This method, as you state above, requires website design, content creation, keyword research, site promotion/SEO.

Since you know that I devour and am now up to about 75 sites using http://www.jonasblog.com/2009/02/how-to-make-3-700-times-a-day.html you know that the missing link is… the drum roll :) , content ! So now I’m using the team to do the mini site formula and,.. “now read this part — tip here :)” promote via content using the NPC formula. Ah, now John has another blog post to write to tie that concept in. LOL.
Cheers,
Lisa

Thanks for posting this, John!

With all the site promotion methods available, it’s a good idea to deploy your resources where they will do the most good!

It also helps to schedule what batches of sites get what treatment on a calendar, this reduces the micro management that can happen when you have alot of sites to promote.

I would recommend Gunters service(see above) from Get Articles Done - he has a good system in place……..

Due to the very time consuming methods involved in website promotion I am now considering outsourcing as the solution.

Hey John Jonas!

That was a great post! While 75% of my work is going great with the Filipino staff…I have not found a writer/SEO person to last a month (total six), especially using the NPC article submission process. So, I have had to farm that out here in the U.S. (high dollars). If you have any insight, for this area of expertise, please pass it on to me. But, let me tell you that I did some slight modifications to my employment letters to approximately 20-canidates and always received @ least five to six good technical people. One out of 5-6 of these canidates call me now, each month, to see if there are any openings. John it is a dream come true for these technical guys. I look to bring on board a project mgr. by years end, so I can completely fulfill your biz system.

Also, we didn’t have time to chat this weekend, but everyone loved your presentation on Sunday @ the M.B. seminar. As soon as everyone knew, I had been working with your system they cornered me for the rest of the afternoon and even on the plane to Dallas. I’ll pass on the above info to them know, since it was a timely post.

Oh, by the way…”and Thank You Sir”!!!

Peter @ 12:34 pm

I’d like to take the leap to replace myself but I haven’t time to be trying to find decent guys and not guys that disappear after less than a month as above. I would also want to know how much I’m actually going to have to fork out e.g. ezinearticle submissions, traffic geysey monthly costs, etc etc. how much ongoing monthly costs (including replacemyself) would amount to

Hi

Vry good info. I have recently relocated in Australia for a while and the time zoning is much better for the Phillipines. Time to expand upon things I guess. Cheers

These are great ideas for people with money to invest, but not for newbies just starting out on a shoestring budget.

Great Post John,

I have had my first two “mini” sites made by my new guy. I must admit it has been a slow process, because we both had a lot of learning to do. However, now that we have got through one, I know the next will be easier and easier. We did a PPC exeriment. I drove around 1500 clicks, I has 47 order form impressions, but only ONE actual conversion. So $380 loss on this project, ouch!

What we learned is that we built a good landing page (although it didn’t presell well enough), ads and keywords, high CTR, which resulted in the QS being very good. Obviously, this site can not be promoted via PPC again, until we can show a better “presell” conversion rate. So, what I am going to have my guy do is build a simple mini net for the site, add some more graphic, review our promotion product (see if there is a better one out there that might convert better). The though being, lets see what sort of results we can get with Free Organic traffic.

While he works on that, I will be looking for a new Niche to get into.

Thanks John!
