How to find high potential OFS for your business
A lot of people want to hire highly-skilled, super-experienced workers. So do I…usually.
But not always.
Here’s the thing.
Hiring a super skilled designer is super easy. You see their work ahead of time.
Hiring a super skilled programer is easy. You look at their years of experience.
Hiring a super skilled writer is easy. You read what they write.
Hiring a super skilled social media marketer…not so easy. How do you see their results?
Hiring a super skilled SEO person? Not as easy. “show me results”???
And there are a lot of roles like this.
Yes, you can always find someone with years of experience. That doesn’t mean they’re necessarily right for your business.
Sometimes, I want someone who is just eager to learn and work.
Take Joven, for example. He didn’t know anything when I hired him. His English wasn’t that great.
What was amazing was he was eager to learn. He wanted to receive training and learn more about the business. He wanted to show up every day.
He was very communicative. He sent regular reports, even without being asked. When he made mistakes, he wasn’t afraid to own up to them and always looked for ways to improve.
He was afraid to try new things, but I gained his trust. Once he trusted me, he jumped right in.
His eagerness and being detail oriented made him right for me. I didn’t know that.
Since then, I learned that using DISC scores can be super helpful for finding the right personality traits for a specific position.
Want a sales person, find someone with a high D.
Want an admin assistant, find someone with high SC.

So when you post a job at Onlinejobs.ph, don’t just look at people with all the skills and experience you’re looking for. Look for people with high potential, people who communicate well, have a positive attitude, and are not afraid of challenges.
They might end up being the best workers for your company.
