I had the copy, I had the different variations, I knew what needed to be tested.

Easy, right? Wrong.

I just didn’t want to go back into Google website optimizer and set up the test.

I didn’t want to deal with all the decisions that had to be made, with hassling with the code and making sure everything was working correctly.

Doing this ^^^ isn’t living the 4-hour workweek. Especially when it creates a mental block for you and causes you to not get it done.

Finally I decided to send an email:

sub-headlines for them yet, so we’ll have to do that later.

I want to start running tests often. I have lots of copy done, and I
want you to manage the tests. I want you to let me know as one test
starts beating out the other tests so we can improve the site.

But, it’s something people miss over and over again.

The first place you should look for traffic to your website is Google Adwords.

Use adwords because:

  1. you get immediate traffic
  2. you get immediate feedback
  3. you can track what is working and what isn’t
  4. you figure out which keywords convert and which ones don’t
  5. It’s the furthest thing from shooting in the dark as you can get online
