New Bishop

Kim’s dad was set apart today as bishop of their ward. It was pretty cool. He’s been a bishop before and I’m sure he’ll do a great job. It will be interesting for the rest of us. He does such a good job of spending time with the family, I’m sure not much will change.

As for us, I’m still trying to find a way for me to quit my job. I’m waiting on Kris from Clientskills to give me the go ahead to work for them more. Then I’ll work for them, work for BYU, and work for myself more often. I really can’t wait. Everything I’ve done recently has pointed me to doing this. Even my scripture reading. Twice in the past week I have read scriptures and they had new meaning for me right now at this point in my life. Like 2 Nephi 2:27 — “Wherefor all things are given unto men that are expedient unto them. And they are free to choose liberty and eternal life according to the great mediator of all men, or to choose captvity and death according to the plan of the devil.” (remembered as well as I can). When I read this it was just saying to me that right now is my chance to be free from a job, and I can choose to be free or I can choose to be bound by my work. Not that this is how it is for everyone, but for me this is liberty or death, and I believe it is gods plan for me, or the devils plan for me.

It’s really been amazing the things that have been pushing me recently to do this (quit my job). Familylearn is going really well, utahrealestatehelp.com is going really well, things with Clientskills are going really well. I’m having business opportunities all over the place. It’s really exciting.

Austin continues to grow and we love it. He’s so much fun. He knows all kinds of animal sounds now and has started copying almost everything I do. The other night I was brushing my teeth and I cleared my throat and he mimicked the sound almost exactly. He loves to do it now. He has also been doing fist pumps like I do when I say “YES!!!” among other things. It’s really cool.
